How to get to Bedford

From Port Elizabeth:

Take the N2 highway as far as Nanaga.

At the interchange take the N10 north.

Continue past Cookhouse for about another 15km until the Bedford turnoff on the right hand side.

Another 20km and you're there.

Travel time: 2hrs 13 minutes, 202 km.

 

From Grahamstown:

Take the R350 north. Ends in Bedford.

 

From East London:

Head west on Settler's Way (R72) unil sign pointing to Buffalo Pass.

Watch for sharp turn to right at sign pointing to King Williams Town (R346).

Continue till Buffalo Road (N2) watching for signs to King Williams Town after 1.7 km.

Travel 1.6 km and turn left at sign pointing to King Williams Town.

Follow R346 until King Williams Town and turn left into Cathcart Street onto the N2.

Turn right onto R63 at sign pointing to University of Fort Hare Alice Campus.

Stick to R63 through Middeldrift, Alice, Fort Beaufort and watch out for dog-leg and sharp left turn onto R63/R67 leading to Adelaide.

Follow signs through Adelaid and Bedford is next town.

The 197 km trip should take 2 hours and 26 minutes.

 

From Cradock:

Head south-east on the N10 for 58.9 km until you reach a slip road to the left pointing to Bedford.

Turn left for 7.6 km until you meet up with the R63.

Turn left into the R63 for 13.1 km until you reach Bedford.

The 83 km trip should take 1 hour and 3 minutes.
